What is the Montessori Method?
How does a Montessori School compare to a Traditional School?
The Highland Park Montessori Schools consist of four different locations in the beautiful Highland Park and Glencoe communities. In 1987, Highland Park Montessori opened its doors and is now celebrating its 26th year in the community. Montessori Connection West was founded in 1993 and Montessori Connection East followed in 1996. Glencoe Montessori will be opening their doors for the 2013-3014 school year August 2013.
Our schools are affiliated with the American Montessori Society, The Association of Illinois Montessori Schools and are registered with the Illinois State Board of Education.
Our growing school population now constitutes 300 children and 55 staff amongst our four locations. Every classroom is directed by a certified Montessori teacher and a trained Montessori assistant teacher. In alignment with the core of Montessori philosophy, every child is treated as an individual with respect and kindness.
