“Exploring America” in the pre-Kindergarten Extended Day Program

We are excited to offer the Extended Day Program for children in their pre-kindergarten year. Our theme for Extended Day is "Exploring America". Each week the children learn about a different state and every day is a special activity.

Monday	Cultural Day	The children learn about a different state; its location, capital, geography, major products and special features.
Tuesday	Cooking Day	The children prepare a treat based on the state's main fruits or vegetables.
Wednesday	Art Day	Our artists will create a symbol of the state using various mediums.
Thursday	Drama Day	It is great fun to read a story and then act it out.
Friday	Games/Sports Day	A beautiful park is next to our school offering a soccer field and basketball court. We also play outside games such as Mr. Fox, Duck-Duck-Goose, Freeze-Tag, and other favorites.

A Spanish lesson is also taught once a week. Our Extended Day Program is a fascinating exploration of our wonderful country!
