About Highland Park Montessori:

Highland Park Montessori was founded in 1987 by Carol Lee, Executive Director. Since then, we have grown to a network of four schools serving approximately 300 children between the ages of 2-6 years.

Qualifications for Lead Teacher:

  • Montessori Credential and/or BA in Early Childhood Education (HPM will sponsor the right candidate for Montessori training if needed)
  • Experience working in early childhood settings and/or in Montessori Schools is a plus Qualifications for Assistant Teachers and Substitutes:
  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma
  • Experience working with children 2-6 years old and college credits in education and related fields are a plus.
  • Part and full time opportunities available (school hours are 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Qualifications and Duties for Executive Assistant:

  • Education or experience in early childhood education
  • 30-40 hours per week
  • Comfortable using technology
  • Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Planning and organizing school special events
  • Managing the office (phones, supplies, etc.)
  • Coordinates all safety drills (fire, tornado, emergency lockdown)
  • Supports Director and Assistant Director in maintaining the smooth operation of the school
